Consultations at PHA

About public health consultations

The PHA wants to hear from people who use health services, carers, community organisations, healthcare professionals and members of the public.

Public consultations give you the opportunity to share your views on proposed strategies, policies, services and programmes that affect health and wellbeing across Northern Ireland.

Your feedback helps us make informed decisions and improve the services we provide.

The consultation process at the Public Health Agency (PHA)

The PHA recognises the importance of meaningful consultation. In fulfilling its equality duties, the PHA consults in a timely, open and inclusive manner, following the Equality Commission’s Guiding principles.

Who can take part?

Anyone with an interest in public health can participate.

The PHA consults with representative groups and individuals of the Section 75 categories to obtain their views. These diverse perspectives are carefully analysed, and any resulting changes are reflected in the final document. Learn more about the PHA’s commitment to Equality.
