Who is this page for?
This page is for older adults, their families and carers, community groups and anyone interested in making their local community a better place to age well.
What is an age-friendly community?
An age-friendly community is a place where people can age well, stay connected and continue to participate in the things that matter to them. Age-friendly communities aim to create environments where older people are valued, respected and supported to remain active, independent and involved in community life.
Northern Ireland's Age-Friendly Network is part of the wider World Health Organization Age-Friendly Communities movement.

This work supports PHA's ambition to help older people live healthier, independent and fulfilling lives.
