Who is this page for?
This page is for older adults, their families and carers looking for information about vaccinations available in Northern Ireland.
Vaccinations as you get older
As you get older, your risk of becoming seriously ill from some infections can increase. Keeping up to date with vaccinations you are eligible for can help protect your health.
Vaccinations that may be offered to older adults include:
• seasonal flu
• COVID-19
• shingles
• pneumococcal vaccination
• respiratory syncytial virus (RSV)
Which vaccinations you are offered will depend on your age, health and individual circumstances.
Find out which vaccinations you may be eligible for
Vaccination programmes and eligibility can change. Visit the PHA's main vaccination and immunisation section for the latest information about vaccines, eligibility and how to get vaccinated.
Resources
This information leaflet describes how you can help protect yourself from respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) by having the vaccine if you are eligible.
