This book presents the reasons why mothers and babies benefit from breastfeeding and explains how to breastfeed successfully. It covers issues including how breastfeeding works, positioning and attachment, how to know if breastfeeding is going well, expressing milk, breastfeeding and babies in special care, advice on breastfeeding and bed-sharing, dealing with common problems, fitting breastfeeding into your life, and going back to work.

Produced by Unicef and supported by the PHA, this leaflet is for parents who have a baby in neonatal care.

It covers feeding your baby, the importance of skin-to-skin contact, helping your baby’s development, getting involved, helping your baby to breastfeed and taking your baby home. It also provides useful contacts and support groups.

This leaflet is for pregnant women who have been diagnosed with syphilis. It provides information on the care pathway for these women, including referral to sexual health (GUM) clinics, treatment and long-term protection for the baby.
