TENDER OPPORTUNITY
The Public Health Agency (PHA) wishes to tender for the following two services. These social care and education initiatives are Part B Services – which means that the Public Contracts Regulations only apply in part.
1. Targeted Prevention Services for young people (ITT_27265)
This service is to be delivered in community settings to young people, parents and carers, across Northern Ireland. The total contract value will be £692,859. If additional funds are made available there could potentially be up to 50% added to the contracts on an in-year basis.
The tender is split between:
• Lot 1 – for the development of age-appropriate life-skills and harm-reduction programmes for use with vulnerable young people using, or at-risk of using, substances;
• Lots 2 to 5 – for the delivery of these life-skills and harm-reduction programmes; Lot 2: Belfast and South Eastern HSCT Areas; Lot 3: Southern HSCT Area; Lot 4: Western HSCT Area; Lot 5: Northern HSCT Area.
The PHA intends to award one contract in each of the five Lots. Lot 1 will run from 1 July 2015 to 30 November 2015.
Lots 2–5 will run for 2 years from 1 July 2015 to 30 June 2017 with a possible further 3x12 month extensions until 30 June 2020.
2. Workforce Development Programmes (ITT_27266)
The PHA proposes to establish ‘Multi-Supplier Framework Agreements’ for the development and delivery of training programmes in each of three Lots for the development and delivery of training courses for staff addressing drug and alcohol misuse within their work.
The tender is divided into three separate Lots:
• Lot 1: Development and delivery of courses for staff working with adults;
• Lot 2: Development and delivery of courses for staff working with children and young people;
• Lot 3: Development and delivery of motivational interviewing courses.
These Framework Agreements will run for two years from 1 July 2015 to 30 June 2017, with a possible further 2x12 month extensions until 30 June 2019.
