Health Protection Conference 2025
HSC Public Health Agency and HSE Public Health: Health Protection are holding their first joint conference on Tuesday 7 October, Titanic Conference Centre in Belfast.

Focusing on the theme of 'A problem shared...', the conference will bring together a wide range of public health professionals, partners and key stakeholders across the island of Ireland to consider shared challenges and common approaches to address them in order to protect and improve the health of our populations.
A key focus of the conference will be on issues of social inclusion, with presentations (oral and poster) looking at approaches to addressing health inequities and health inequalities on both sides of the border.
A scientific programme will be launched in June 2025.
Further announcements will be made on the full programme over the next couple of months, including key note speakers and presenters.

Venue: Titanic Conference Centre, 1 Olympic Way, Queen’s Road, Titanic Quarter, Belfast BT39EP
Theme: ‘A Problem Shared….’
You are invited to submit abstracts on theme of the conference ‘A Problem Shared’ about challenges in health protection shared across communities and on both sides of the Irish border, especially reflecting issues of health inequalities including in relation to specific populations, communities or settings. We welcome submissions from all parts of the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland, but we are particularly interested in work either delivered or of relevance to health protection and health inequalities on the island of Ireland.
It is also acceptable to submit material developed for other recent conferences, but this should be declared on the application form

Please submit your abstract by sending it to HealthProtectionConference@hpsc.ie before 9am on Friday 25th July 2025. Abstracts received after this time will not be considered.
