Physical activity

This booklet has been developed for adults with learning disabilities to encourage them to walk more. Using simply illustrated text, it outlines the benefits of walking for everyone and encourages participants to track their daily steps in order to build up to over 10,000 a day.

This leaflet provides guidance to older adults on the amount of physical activity they should be aiming for and the health benefits associated with staying active. It also offers tips and ideas on activities that older people may find useful and appropriate. The leaflet is aimed at older people of most physical capabilities.

This poster highlights the importance of children being physically active for at least 60 minutes every day. Parents, carers and children are encouraged to visit the website www.getalifegetactive.com to download the activity log book to track how much activity they are doing daily.
