Transplant Games

The Westfield Health British Transplant Games will be held in Belfast on 4–7 August. Athletes will compete in 16 sports at venues such as the Mary Peter's Track, Ormeau Park and Queen’s University Belfast’s Physical Education Centre, to name but a few.

The British Transplant Games are organised by Transplant Sport UK (TSUK) and staged annually in host cities around the UK, with competitors being selected every two years for the World Transplant Games.

Around 700 competitors aged between two and 80 years old – who are all recipients of a life-saving organ transplant, be it heart, lung, liver, kidney, pancreas, small bowel or bone marrow – compete at the games in a range of sports and attend social events with their families.

The event is a celebration – all athletes have won the race for life and competing to win a medal is a bonus!
