Call for Abstracts for parallel sessions at the Public Health Annual Scientific Conference at Mossley Mill, Newtownabbey on 14 June 2012
The Public Health Agency and Partners will be hosting the first Public Health Annual Scientific Conference. The theme of the conference will be Children and Young People and it will focus on how public health innovations, research and practice are meeting the needs of children and young people.
Launch of Social Exclusion and Ageing in Diverse Rural Ireland report, University of Ireland Galway.
This research funded by Centre for Ageing Research and Development in Ireland (CARDI) was support by the PHA and examined key issues around exclusion faced by older people living in rural Ireland. The research examines a variety of settings including island inhabitants’, isolated rural communities, near urban settlements. The report is designed to influence future policy and practice in terms of addressing older people’s needs.
Me Unltd is a project funded by PHA which provides support, training and educational programmes for Carers. This event is to celebrate the success of over 100 carers who have completed a range of training and development programmes.
